Cajun Shrimp for Dinner

Marinated the shrimp in lemon, Louisiana Crawfish Crab & Shrimp Boil mix, and a little Tabasco in a bowl for ~15 minutes. Then spaced them around a basket-shell acquired at Walmart -- buy a bunch each year when they put them out. The baskets were also sprayed with a non-stick cooking spray. Covered with another basket-shell, clipped in place with banana-clips, and used two pizza pans to flip the arrangement after 3 minutes each side (at 450), with hickory chips for smoke. Turned out superb!

Great idea for new technique, have been looking for a better way to cook/flip shrimp so they are all done at once. Thanks for the pics!

Maybe it's the vicodin from the tooth I had pulled today...but can you help me with the 'basket shell'?
I'm not understanding it...I'm assuming you've flattened it. But I'd like to look for a few!
Thanks for any help! -
I don't understand the baskets either but great method.
I'm guessing it is not on the fire long enough to worry about the plastic on the clips melting? -
Wazoo: LOVE that technique! Nice going! Shrimp look fantastic, but I love that screen and concentric idea!

Very nice....indeed!!!
I'd stop by for that!! -
that looks like a great idea... no need to flip so many skewers...context is important

Walmart and several other places sell basket-type cooking rack/plates/servers that you can grill on. These are aluminum and work great. They make a round one (here) and a rectangular one - that one I use for ABTs, etc. The two used together "sandwich" the shrimp (et al) between them for ease of flipping. Waz
