JimboBQ,
I think you may have meant to say odoriferous emanation, in which case would be an irrefutable and analogous statement of case. I too am an upstate SC youngster of 51 years and have enjoyed my lovely green hen apple for about 20 years. Nice Thread!

sigmore,
46 here,
Been eggin for 2 yrs and 4 months
Actually kept a log and lit my egg a total of 197 times to cook a total of 2304.5 lbs of assorted meats, not counting veggies and savoury cheesecakes.[p]Which averages to 11.69 lbs per cook[p]I have used 492 lbs of assorted lumps and that equals to
approx. 24.5 bags of 20 lb'ers. Some were in 10 lb but the majority were 20's from BGE.
While I am at it I also used 4 boxes of BGE starter cubes, 26 bottles of green jel and I am on my second can of Mapp as we speak.[p]Now "I'm wunderin" why I kept track of all this........LOL

Marine Cook,[p]You da man! I noticed your Eggs in your camping picture. We just bought a new Trail Manor 27 footer and I ordered me a small egg to carry on camping trips. Do you get many questions and strange looks from other campers? One thing for sure. We'll have the best tasting grub in the campgrounds![p]Thanks,[p]Jimbo[p]

sigmore,[p]This is fun![p]I am 29 and have been egging for 3 1/2 years. I bought my egg 4 1/2 years ago when I just got out of college and had to move back in with my parents. Poor Mr. Humpty had to sit in storage for about a year before I moved out and got my place when I started grilling on it.

JimboBQ, I just gotta ask...years ago in the hey day of CB radios your fine city was referred to as "Sparkle City". Was that just a local thing or a slang by the CBer's or what? Now if any of you youngsters don't know what that CB craze was you need to ask as that too was part of Americania! "Irish Rover here...he broke, he spoke, he gone" was my signature statement
Actually back in 1976 on our 10th wedding anniversay we ate in your city and I got food poisioning from shrimp at a very nice steak house there and for the next 24 hours I just wished I could die as my wife drove us back to Illinois. At the time I was a stupid *ss who didn't believe I could get as deathly sick as I did...oh well, I've survived it to 60 without another poisoning...
