Adjustment In Cooking Time for Ambient Temps Near Freezing

Unknown
edited November -0001 in EggHead Forum
Need some advice here because I've never used an egg at outside temps at or below freezing. Do I need to make a cooking time adjustment and by how much? I am egging a 13.25 lb turkey at 325-350 degrees. At 15 minutes/pound it should be done in 3hrs and 20 minutes at normal temps.
Thanks in advance for your eggspert guidance.

    SMOKIN' MIKE,
350 F is 350F in the egg. doesnt matter how cold it is outside. i would moniter temps in the bird though, because times never seem to be exact. the bird i was cooking this weekend was cooking so fast that i reduced the egg temps a little to slow the cook

<p />BLIZZ005.jpg[p]SMOKIN' MIKE,[p]You won't need to adjust your cooking times.
Nice thing about ceramics, they cook the same year 'round.

    Good Luck!

YardBoydude,[p]I know it's hard to grasp if you've never seen it before but it's cold and fluffy and wet and kinda purty like..... and it makes the world real quiet.
If it gets down your neck, it'll freeze you to the bone.
    Hope that helps!
