  • Rob,
do you mean doing a low and slo??. . .if you do, i've never heard of such a thing. .. i do standing rib roast pretty often in the egg. ..but i roast it. . .i start with the egg at 500 degrees w/grid over inverted plate setter, as soon as i put the roast on, i shut the vents to get the temps down to 325 - 350. .. then let roast about 15 minutes per pound for medium rare. . . i pull it when it hits 125 internal temps, then let rest for 15 minutes (the temp will go up to about 130 for perfect medium rare). . .i typically coat mine with herbs de provence and kosher salt. . .but this hunk of meat will stand up beautifully to heavy garlic, or a good steak rub. ..its really easy to get great results. ...[p]DSCN0595.jpg[p]DSCN0596.jpg[p]DSCN0600.jpg
