That's sickening.

We have two miniature dachshunds. A couple of years, ago, our house was burglarized while we were out of town. We leave the dogs at home when we travel, and have someone come once a day to feed and water them.

The thieves didn't harm our dogs, but the police said that often, burglars will throw small dogs into the freezer or refrigerator so they won't make much noise. They don't bother to take them out when they leave, so you can guess the outcome.

I had nightmares for several weeks after learning that.

People can be so cruel.
