I'm trying to take a recipe that works well in the skillet on the stove to the Egg. I use one notch past medium on the burner - it's a conduction top stove - I know stoves vary greatly, but does anyone have an idea what dome temperature in the Egg might replicate a medium to medium-high setting on the stove if I were to place the skillet in the Egg?
I realize an infrared thermometer would answer this question for me quickly, but I don't have one.
Thanks!
jason

I've done what felt like medium heat frying at 300 indirect, tried raised direct but the pan still got too hot over time

guess is 350 indirect ,, put your skillet on the stove at desired temp and drop some water droplets into it. at med hi they should dance.. put skillet in the egg at 350 indirect and repeat.. adjust based on your observations
good luck -
Set your oven on 350 and give it a go in there.Much easier to keep an eye on.Keep adjusting oven temps til the dish is to your liking then use that temp on the egg, indirect.
