FORD TRUCK DOOR

I love my Ford F-150, but the door is gonna get me beat one day.
The designers have made it 'giant' and 'fat-so' friendly.
The first stop on the doors is only wide enough for a child to get out. The second one has the door at nearly a 90 degree angle to the frame (wide enough for a 500 pound man to get in for sure). After getting out, I have had to scrap my paint off other vehicles more than once when I was trying to be careful.
Has anyone else had this problem? Do you know if there is a solution? My first oil change will be next month and I will ask them then if none no what to do in the meantime.

What year? Mine is a 2009 and I've not noticed any issue. I have the four door crew cab model.
Of course, I am also considered large by some standards, so perhaps I don't notice because I need the door open wider than most for adequate ingress and egress clearance. -
perhaps you haven't noticed an issue with the "fatso friendly" doors, fidel, because you are a bat fastard?
just sayin. -
seems to be the theme of the day. i see, too, that you got further into the book than you implied. chapter 17 (my personal fave), the catechism:
.."What did each do at the door of egress?
Bloom set the candlestick on the floor. Stephen put the hat on his head.
For what creature was the door of egress a door of ingress?
For a cat." -
I finished the damn thing twice. Still haven't figured out 10% of what it all means.

I am indeed a tad on the portly side.
That acknowledged, I hereby publicly challenge you to any of the generally acceptable and commonly know standard feats of strength.
Wuss. -
I think you two are oficilly hyjacking this thread!! WTF? :ermm:

2010. Crew Cab as well. You would notice because you too would worry about hitting someone elses car.

I'm going to half to go Ford shopping.

I have a 2001 crew cab, my passenger door would never close 50% of the time completely, the rears really dont open as much as the fronts, get some door trim and save the door edges.
