Sweet Potatoes on the coals

This is one straight from Big Bob Gibson's BBQ Book that I have been wanting to try. I just hadn't gotten around to give it a shot.
And it is so bloody simple it isn't funny.
Roast plain sweet potatoes directly on a bed of coals in your Egg. No foil, rub, oil or anything.

After 20 minutes flip and cook another 20 minutes.

The skins will be scorched but don't worry, the insides are perfectly done. The skins might even break, it's okay.

The recipe then calls for a butter, maple syrup, pecan, cinnamon, cayenne, and salt mixture poured on top.

I skipped the pecans since I'm deathly allergic but **** these things were good. And did I mention easy?

Love that kind of cook!! I've done that with steaks and have even baked a cake on the coals (in a DO of course), but never would have thought of it with potatoes! Wonder if you could do that with Idahoes?
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
