In the years past I have used a plate setter to do my turkey, Well in unpacking from the move I broke it :( So I went down to the local fireplace shop and picked up some firebricks. Has anyone ever used this setup for the Yard Buzzard? Does it cook the same? Whats the setup?

haywyre,
i lay the 3 bricks flat across the center of the grill, put a tin foil pan on bricks, put some water in pan. inthis pan i put a roasting pan (mine is a round paella pan). put the second grill on the double pan set up. put turkey on grill and cook. the 2 pan setup with the water in between keeps the drippings from burning in the roast pan. if your roast pan is too tall put the turkey in the roast pan as usual
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it
