Texas Egg, Biscuit & Grits for Breakfast
Spring Chicken
Posts: 10,255
Last time I posted a picture of my Texas Biscuits, someone (nameless) was just'a pitching because I didn't cook a Texas Egg to go with them.
Well, my Sweetie is a Texas Gal, borned and raised here, and I thought it was about time to cook her a Texas Breakfast again. But this time moving it up a notch.
Here's the Egg...
And here's the Egg on the plate with a Texas Biscuit, some Texas Grits and some Texas Butter.
And I just took a bite out of Amarillo on my second Biscuit.
I guess you could say, "This is start'n out to be a good day."

I gotta have the mold !!! Is it a cookie cutter? Where, oh where did you get it ??? I promise not to bring it to Eggfest to upstage you.__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

Was it a mold...or was it a very steady, skillful hand?
Either way....that's awesome! A great start to the day for sure! -
Would you believe that egg was squatted by a Texas hen in a Texas shaped egg shell, then she promptly died from an El Paso tear?
Well, would you believe the hen is still alive but in intensive care, clucking softly "No Mas, No Mas?"
Either way, may not ever be another Texas Egg.

You may have growed up across the Crawfish Curtain, but you sure can lie like a Texan. :laugh:__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

Surely you jest when you say, "...steady, skillful hand." I'm Spring Chicken and I'm clumbsy.
I may have used an appliance of some kind but professional modesty prevents me from disclosing it.
Kinda like my Texas Cornbread.

A cheap imitation of the REAL thing.

Thank you...

looks pretty hot in El Paso. I didn't realize the Cowboys new stadium had a yellow dome - pretty big too.
Too kewl -
I could teach you how to put a Texas in the center.
But then there would be two of us who knew how and the Forum may not be able to handle two.
But here's some Cornbread Art for you.
Your turn.

By the way, this is Texas Sweet Potato cornbread.

Great looking breakfast Leroy. I need to adopt Texas as my home away from home, a egg, sausage patty or biscuit shaped like Florida just isn't the same.
Have a great day,
Blair

It's always hot in El Paso. The yellow dome is for the prison in Huntsville. Some judge said the prison was too uncomfortably warm for the prisoners so they built 'em an A/C'd prison playground. Just kidding. That was from one of my taxpayer nightmares.

Maybe if you turned Florida upside down it would be an artful shape LOL.
I'm not sure about this but I've heard that people in other parts of the world can wear Texas shaped items for medical purposes in order to increase their value to society.

So Leroy, retirement is working :laugh:Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).

I get the texas and cactus, but is that a cowpie on the bottom?

Hurricane Ike ?__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

If that is the case, wouldn't you put the cacti upside down :P
-
Sure seems to be for both of us.

It's an EGG... An EGGGGGGGGG!!!
But it can be a cowpie if you want it to be.
Spring "My Shoes Smell Funny" Chicken -
