Naan pizza

My wife has been buying this pre-made Naan from the grocery store or trader joes. On the package she gets (I think from Publix) they have a pic of pizza on the front. It looks pretty good, so last night I gave it a try with some grilled chicken and bacon I had justed egged up.
It was pretty darn tasty for a quick and easy pizza crust.

On a side note- I had the egg set up for indirect platesetter legs up. I was lazy and didn't want to flip the setter around so I just threw the stone on the grid and let it preheat. Seemed to work just fine.

Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Mmm, naanza.
Legs up, grate, baking stone is another popular setup for pizza, and laziness is a perfectly acceptable reason to give it a try.
Grilled chicken and bacon make for an awesome pizza...have you tried it with BBQ sauce, instead of regular pizza sauce? -
I've been using the same setup for pizza. it seems to be a little easier on the gasket, but a little harder to control the stone temperature. the stone wants to overheat faster than with the platesetter legs down with a 1/2" air gap.

I make Naan all the time and I will make pizzas with the dough when I am hungry for a pizza and don't have any dough chilling in the fridge.
Great looking pizza! -
Naanza...I like it!
I have not tried BBQ sauce- but I will now. Thanks for the suggestion.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
I use that same setup for pizza only I take it one step farther by using the extended grid over the main grid to get the pie higher up in the dome. -RP

Naan is a great idea for pizza. I usually keep the garlic naan on hand that I get from Publix. My son, who is the carb king loves it. I might just make him up a zaa with naan next time. Thanks!Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!
