I am planning to do a turduckhen for Thanksgiving. Any suggestions on cooking times and temps?

I'v never done one- but in the tradion of Roasting. . .
Cook it till its done.
So- I'd stick a probe in it- set it up with a drip pan w/ plate setter and do it at the reccommended temp.
Its a very dense thing- so it will likely be a low and slow- and possibly a few minutes at a higher temp for crisping at the end.
According to Chef Paul. . . . cook at 225 till internal is 165. . .

djm5x9,[p]How long do we think this could survive wrapped in foil in a cooler? An hour?[p]Thanks![p]B o B
-
djm5x9,[p]Damn, that looks good. Did you turducken it yourself or buy it pre-done?
-
Smokin BoB:[p]I believe it would.[p]My favorite way to hold meat (butts, ribs, turducken, etc.) is to place the meat in a equally sized glass pan, covered with heavy duty foil. I have a couple of thick, oversized bath towels that I wrap the foiled pan with. In the case of butts, this method has proven to keep the held meat steaming hot for as long as five hours.

djm5x9,[p]You know, it seems like a lot of money but then I see the picture and think "I HAVE to have that!!"[p]My wife reads out here all the time. I will now attempt to hypnotize her into craving the turducken, whatever the cost.[p]Turrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

ennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn[p]turrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

ennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn[p]I will count backwards from five and when I finish, you will want turducken so bad, you'll need to be talked out of a butcher shop camp out tonight.[p]5-4-3-2-1 [p]SNAP!![p]So honey, whatcha want for dinner?[p](MWAH AH AH AH!)

Mark Backer:[p]You are a very brave man . . . If I tried that on The Princess she would put me in "The Bamboo Cage" for a while . . .[p]Fortunately, two things we do agree on are food and s . . . Enjoy them birds . . .

-
Bob:[p]These folks are not too far from you, so you ought to pay them a visit. They also have some stuffed chickens that are very good too.
-
Lee:[p]The only way this collection of birds could have been better is if the stuffing included crawfish . . .
