Drivr, I do a grilled peach dessert with lime cream.[p]peaches, halved and pitted
    canola oil
Lime cream: 1 cup sour cream, 1T lime juice, zest of 1 lime, 1/4t sugar or to taste, pinch of salt.
Brush peach halves with oil and grill on medium heat for about 2 or 3 minutes, cut side down. Turn for about a minute. Serve with the lime cream in the center of the peach.[p]For a sweeter topping try mexi creme (or creme fraiche) in the center of the peach and drizzle molasses over the top.

  • Drivr,[p]I do Peaches when we can get them.[p]Grilled Peaches[p]3 to 4 Peaches sliced in half and pit removed
1 Tbs White Sugar for each peach half[p]Place peach halves on a plate or tray cut side up. Pour 1 Tsp of sugar on the cut side of the peach. Repeat for all halves. Let them sit for about 30 minutes. Bring you grill up to 350 to 400 degrees. Place the peaches on the grill skin or round side down and grill for 2 to 3 minutes. Turn and grill cut side down for 2 to 4 minutes until the sugar has nicely caramelized.[p]Serve warm.[p]These really go well with chicken and pork.

  • Drivr,[p]Of course I can't seem to find it at the moment but, I'm sure I got it from the forum a few years ago...[p]I hollowed out a couple of pears, filled them and cooked them slow. They were excellent with great flavor.[p]Can anyone help?[p]Thanks![p]B o B

"For a sweeter topping try mexi creme (or creme fraiche) in the center of the peach and drizzle molasses over the top."[p]I've made them like this before, but many people don't like the taste of molasses. I use real maple syrup insted.

Pakak,[p]I bet the maple is good. Have you ever tried muscovado sugar? It has a medium to strong molasses flavor (depending on the color). It is good for making Q sauces and glazes.
