OT- Hummingbird Migration question

Anybody know when the hummingbirds FINISH? When will they leave! :evil:

This is turning from fun into WORK. I bought 2 25 lb bags of sugar about 3 weeks ago. After filling 8 32 oz feeders for the morning rush, I might have 2 cups left. Another trip to Costco is in order, and I need to figure out how much to get. Some feeders are empty by noon, all will be empty by mid-afternoon.

Impossible to count, but well over 100 hummers. Took some video this AM, but no clue how to post it. I may have to open an account somewhere.

They usually leave at the first sign of coolness, but they have to be pretty loaded with food for the trip.

Our crop of hummers is holding steady. Expecting the count to starting dropping any time, probably later this month.

Their activity here seems to be on the increase which usually means they are storing up for the trip south. That said, they usually do not leave here (central GA) till approx. Oct. 1st.

theres a ways to go. north of boston they are still here and i havent fed them in a month.

I can see how the novelty would wear off, but I'd love to have that problem for a while. 3-4 is the most we expect at our house.

The bird place here in NC recommended we leave the food out until Halloween to help any stragglers.

I put out the absolute last of my sugar solution - looks like their favorite feeder is lasting about 4.5-5 hours before it's empty. I'll look into posting on youtube - that'll be a whole new experience. It's only so-so video - taken right before sunrise after refilling 4 feeders, so it's a bit dim.
