A friend at work just gave me some Iranian Saffron (3 grams). What a gift! Any ideas on what I can use it with on the egg? Paella, saffron rice, etc...? Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

JM3,[p]That stuff amazes me! 3 grams probably has a street value of $20 (kinda like drugs, but less expensive)!![p]Anyway, someone at eggtober fest made some Paella that was great. I think they used a wok or other type on pan on their egg.

Today, Emeril used a "pinch" of saffron in a pot of chicken stock and then boiled some potato cubes for mashed potatos. The cubes took on the color of the saffron and supposedly the flavor. Just a thought... Mac
