Michele (wife) and I did a couple of pizzas yesterday. They came out very good. Her's came out better, and even if it didn't, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :P
The first one has the normal stuff plus artichoks (sp)and roasted jalepeno peppers. (mine)
The second one has sausage, pepperoni, basil and oregeno (hers)
They were cooked at 500 for 10 mins
They were good. Thanks for looking

Got me wondering, why are you using the 'Dagger' [alt+134] in the name now?
GG -
Tweev- Two questions!
1. what happened to boxing kitty ( laughed everytime I seen it)
2. How come I cant see the new one? -
Great looking pies! I was needing ideas of what to cook while I'm off all week, so I think you just took care of one day.

There are a lot of boxing cat gif's over on the woot site. The pictures are usually on the discussion on any given item. I would also think one could google boxing cat gif and there would be a lot of hits.
When the folks get to arguing or breaking the dicussion guide lines the mod's will put a member in a 'dog house' which is a semi short term ban from the forum. It's pretty funny. The agitators get a doghouse icon placed on their name and it stays until the ban is removed - usually a few hours up to 24 hours.

Hahahahaha... Those flippin cats make me laugh. Don't know why. Do you see Tweevs new one? It don't show up on mine.
-
Nize zas, Dave!!
Don't ya just love 'em!! -
I saw the one but then it went away. If there were two I didn't see the second one.
When I first saw his, I was going to post mine but thought it would be better if I didn't...
I didn't pay much attention to tweeve's first picture but I just goggled 'boxing cat gif' and it looks like his was copied from those hits.
The gif's are pretty easy to create and I think there is a generator on that google result page. If you want it go snag it from there.

When cooking pizzas, how has your luck been with gaskets? How hot do you cook them? I made some pizzas over the weekend and had some gasket issues. We were at about 550 - 600 with the standard, gray gasket. I have cooked all kinds of things and never had gasket issues before, but have not done a lot of pizzas until now.
I have been using a pizza stone directly on top of my inverted plate setter (legs down) and the pizza turns out great, but I may need to go to the high temp gasket.
Your advice would be welcome.
Thanks,
John -
I put a couple of cut pieces (3) of fire brick under the pizza stone. This puts the stone above my gasket. I do however have a nomex gasket. No problems so far. I use a large pizza stone in a XL egg (I have a large egg as well)so I can use it in either one. I cook the pizza at 500 for 10 minutes. I hope this helps.Dave San Jose, CA The Duke of Loney
