Getting in the Food Saver game... what is the difference...

...between all of these models? http://www.foodsaver.com/products.ad2?catalogID=1000

I tried to compare them all, but they all look the same (except for the price). Are the bells and whistles worth it... if so, what are the bells and whistles and why do I need them. I just want to marinate, store cereal (i.e. I need the cannister attachment), and store BGE leftovers.[p]Thanks in advance.

One of the King's Men,[p]Going through the same list of questions. What I've been able to find out is the #800 model is the 'best buy' after talking to three people I know that own them. The next one up (the #845 or something like that) is hands free as opposed to having to hold the thing shut with two hands. My main source of info is a gal I trust. She tells me that the 800 is the one to go with. The only issue she has is the cost of the bagging material. She grabs 7 or 8 boses at a local place that has sales on the food saver bags. I guess if my hads aren't doing something I could get in trouble. I'll listen to her I think.

    One of the King's Men,
Recently faced the same choice, went with a 1200 from their online outlet store (at www.foodsaver.com mouse-over the Products tab, the link to the Foodsaver Outlet Store is near the bottom) for only $119. The 1205 lists on their site for $179, (only difference seems to be a built in bag cutter on the 1205), and the 800 and 845 for $129. Came with a canister and the attachment for it, and a few bags and such. I've been really pleased with it. They also have pretty good deals for additional canisters and things there, which I am finding very handy for prepped vegetables and stuff. Hope this helps..
