Is it possible to cook ribs direct ? I am no equiped for indirect yet :(

sorry -
yes you can. Be sure to get the ribs as high as possible so they don't burn. Your ribs will generally be chewier and not as much falling off the bone. Rendezvous in Memphis has built a reputation for charcoal grilled ribs.
