The first 7 pages of the photo album are of the Jack.... the last half are from the Royal taken a few weeks before.[p]The quality of people this bbq thing brings together is amazing.[p]I hope y'all enjoy...... I'm pooped and going to bed. Good Night![p]John[p][p]

Jethro,
I'm sorry, I always give Woodoggies a little hard time about his handle, I didn't mean to use yours, very sorry. Just trying to have fun.[p]CWM

John:[p]Congratulations on the success of the Dizzy Pig team! Looks like you had fun and enjoyed meeting many folks from the various forums. Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures and sharing . . .

WooDoggies,
Great pictures.
Two questions:
1) How far did those eggs sink in that muck? Looks like the wheels were in deep.[p]2) Did you trim the thinner end from that brisket? That was the most even thickness I have ever seen on a brisket flat.[p]Thanks
Doug

WooDoggies,
great pics dog!!!!! . .. someday you will have to set up an album of just the closeup faces you have been shooting the last couple of years. .. i think it would be a great (although in some cases scary) pictorial. . .[p]thx[p]max

mad max beyond eggdome,
How about the Mexican team....
-
WooDoggies,
Yo man those are some good shots. Wish we were still there.
This back to work stuff sucks.
Get spun
-
Smoked Signals,
The eggs didn't sink too bad. The ground was suprisingly firm after the first squishy day. It was a firm kinda squishy.[p]That brisket picture is actually a slice of the point....not the flat. The flats we had (not pictured) were very nice and even. Woo's butcher really fixed us up.[p]Beers!

Hey Mike,
The Jack Daniels is an invitational. This year there were 62 teams.
We placed 44th overall... of course we would've liked to have done better but it is the Jack afterall and we did walk out with a 6th in brisket so I'm feeling pretty darn good about the whole thang. :~)[p]Hopefully we will be seeing you again next year.... you helped us a lot at the Royal and you're good company![p]John[p]

djm5x9,[p]Thanks Darryl, it was more fun than I could've imagined.... bbq folks really are a wonderful and generous bunch.[p]John
-
Hey Chet! Great to meet you![p]Let's make sure we get to hang out again...... hopefully at the Jack. :~)[p]john

Thanks Ed. It was damp but you got used to it pretty quick and by the end of the weekend, the mush was only found in a few low lying areas.... good thing I brought the mud boots.[p]Sorry we missed the atlanta fest..... it was more than WooKitties and I could swing, though. Maybe next year?[p]PBRs!

Smoked Signals,[p]My butcher is really good about finding briskets that are evenly thick from one end to the other....... and the point on those has to be the best part of the cut![p]The mud wasn't too bad with the wheels but it took 2 people to safely move them around........ kind of a pain. :~)[p]John[p]

Hey, that's not a bad idea, max. I'll start off with the one of you with the President Garfield facial hair..... "is that your nose or are you just happy to see me?" LOL
-
Hatch,[p]Heard dat..... see you soon, bro.
-
aw shucks, mang.
-
WooDoggies,[p]Nice pics, John! I have very few pics since I forgot to charge my camera battery before we left AND forgot to bring the charger with me. [p]We had a blast hanging around with the Dizzy Pig team and really enjoyed spending our vacation in Lynchburg with y'all. What an amazing event...[p]Tonia
