I tried describing this in my first post, but realized I took a couple of pictures of it. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand - and definitely better than my previous description.
I saw this at last year's Eggtoberfest. I don't recall if this was a product someone was marketing, but didn't get any handout info about it. Does anyone else remember seeing it there?
If anyone is familiar with this setup and can let me know it this is a product someone sells, I'm interested in learning more about it.
Thanks!

OK...that is way cool and must have taken many hours of beer drinking and design time...

Would this be for long trips or just across town?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).

Take if from someone (me) who travels a lot with eggs. I take multiple 3 hour trips a year with my small, and have tried every way possible. Anytime an egg is hooked to trailer hitch in any way, u run a very serious risk of cracking atleast the interior ceramic pieces of your egg. I love to have my small egg on the back of my truck, but I belt it in my back seat for the ride.
I also take my medium on trips, but the grill goes in the truck, and the full table gets put in the truck bed.
As cool as that contraption looks, it ain't gonna work all that well in my opinion. Sorry.
Here is what mine looks like.
and then on the back of the truck...
Also fits in this table....
I am not trying to rain on any parade...just save eggs from breaking. -
Hitch,
Did you build that yourself or did you buy those pieces separate? Either way, can you share how you built that?? I've been looking for something like this! Thanks -
No problems on heat that close to tailgate?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).

Very nice design. Like the way you mounted the light to the upper band.

It was featured at last years eggtoberfest, it was supposed to be launched in January but hadn't. Slick design supposedly it had been road tested quite extensively so they felt that broken fireboxes would not be a problem. It is supposed to be released through bge but nothing as of about a month ago when I last checked with them

Hinge,
Working in an aerospace vibration lab I agree there is a risk for cracks especially in the long term.
By the way What is that thing you have strapped under your handle of your egg?
