Some Details & Maybe a New Egg Technique

Sunday the 8th, we were with the kids & grand kids dinner. About 4pm I began getting cold and just thought the kids A/C was set low. I got colder and colder and began shaking and labored breathing.

I decided it best to head home. Just about to turn into our street, my wife said not this time and she proceeded to the Hospital. Took me directly to the ER entrance. My heart beat was up in the 180's. The stay in the ER room was only a few hours then they admitted me to Cardiac ICU. 2 days there and then over to the Cardiac Critical Care for another 7 day's. During all this there was talk of CHF, a huge mass on my leg, and on and on.

We still don't have all or for that matter many of the answers but as it is right now I have Arterial Fibrillation, a lot of medicine and oxygen and all the accessories.

Upon checking out of the hospital I was cautioned about fire and the oxygen, which got me to thinking egg once again...

Pure oxygen, lump and fire. I may well have a new method of lighting the lump or may be the first egg'r on the moon.

Welcome home. O2 will definately put the egg at 750 in short order, but excessive consumption probably would not be covered by insurance. Can be frustrating waiting for tests to come back and things to make sense. Relax, enjoy some chow and know that our thought and prayers are with you.

GG, always enjoy reading you posts and thoughts. Hope things get better for you soon. For now I don't think the O2 and BGE is a good combination, might want to wait a little while on that experiment. Mike

Glad to see you made it home and are doing better GG...take care of yourself and forget lighting eggs w/oxygen..it' doesnt work good in an open atmosphere and is very explosive in a closed egg..suggest lay low a while..good time to train the wiffie on proper egg etiquette

WOW!!! I step away from the Forum for a few minutes and come back to this news. Glad you're on the mend but it sure scares the beejeebers out of you don't it? Did me and mine wasn't near as powerful as yours.

Take care of yourself and I guess you'll need to stay back and downwind of the fire for a while. You'll probably come up with a lighting device attached to a 10' pole then cook with 10' long tongs. :ermm: :silly: :laugh:
