Just got this thing and trying to do a butt. what kind of setting should i use with this Digiq as far as the top vent? Thanks for any help

I just put one on too with the Digi...Just crack the petal 1/8th inch. I run my pit sensor through it and attach to the dome thermometer and close the petal till it hits the wire. Works well so far. If I attach to the dome thermometer I set it at 250. At least you will sleep well having that.

You need very little open. The fan will force the air out.

For a low & slow I run mine closed all the way and as Photo Egg says the blower will blow the air through the egg. You'll love the DigiQ.

Welcome to the forum KQ. When I use my CyberQ II I have my daisy wheel barely open and the draft on the pit viper 10 cfm at half way (at first wide open on pit viper until egg has come to temp). Tim
