Congrats to Moe and all the others. I was a little disappointed in the show. I did however like the idea of a vinegar based coleslaw. Is there any place here I can get Moe's receipe for his coleslaw? I am not a fan of mayo based coleslaw. Sorry.

I like Elder Ward's Mary Lee's I fought the slaw ans the slaw won. I don't use all the sugar though.

I did not like the judging format. To send that guy home for his catfish, that was bad! It should be done like a regular competion with points awarded for each entry

I agree!! Just for a catfish dish. Imo, isn't catfish only fried or smoked. I never have had a grilled catfish dish that I liked.

I thought it was a pulled pork contest, only 1 contestant did PP and she came in last, and then Myron said 1st place was decided by the cole slaw???

this is the one ive been making lately, it has mayo,but a good vinegar taste, i go light with mayo and add a little milk and go heavier with the malt vinegar. i like the recipe but this woman scares me :laugh: i also add some red/green peppers, some celery and mustard seeds

I'm a mayo hater, like Warren Sapp. It ruins both slaw & tater salad, IMO.
I haven't tried the Elder Ward slaw, but use a simple, apple cider based slaw that is easy and delish.

This my all time favorite coleslaw. Made it last week and ate on it for 4 days without getting tired of it. My hubby loves it too. I try to make it at least once a month or so.
