What temp to cook ABTS?

I need to get the bacon a little more crisp. Would a higher temp help w/o burning?[p]CWM

    I cookem indirect at 400-450 bout 30 min bacon is crisp
    and them things are flat addictin

    What temp and how long are you cooking now? Rick cooks his at 325 for about 30 to 40 minutes. We put them on a fish/veggie grid on a raised cooking grid.[p]~nikki[p]

    It's insane, I can't beleive how fast they disappear. Usually the guests don't take the last couple ones of most snacks. Between ABTS and stuffed portabella mushroooms they are usually fighin.[p]CWM

  • Car Wash Mike,[p]I first tried ABT's back when we beat feat from Ivan and have been hooked ever since. I start mine at 350-400 degrees on the perimeter of the grill to allow the peppers to cook before the bacon gets to done. I always start them before the main course, when the main course is half way done I begin moving them in and turning them to crisp the bacon. I would say it takes 30 to 45 minutes which seems to be typical.[p]Here's a link to my procrdure.[p]Semper Fi,[p]MC
