    I don't think so. What cleaning are you thinking about? Just the ash? Something else? I don't ever clean my egg except for the ash when it accumulates.[p]TNW

    According to some recent postings here, if you've done a cook that involved fat dripping on the lump, you should put in clean lump before cooking your pizza, or risk off flavors on the pizza crust. [p]If the drippings part doesn't apply, or if you let the lump get hot enough to burn off any drippings before putting on the pizza, I wouldn't worry about it too much.[p]Bob
