Grilled Asparagus

I like to grill marinated asparagus and wondering if anyone has some ideas I’ve overlooked for marinade. For general purpose I use flavored olive oils and lemon juice, flavored vinegar’s & olive oil or just an oil based Italian salad dressing. For slightly caramelized I use a Caesar type dressing. Any other ideas?

thirdeye,Blanch the Asparagus. Then olive oil, some rub, cracked pepper, a little kosher salt, wrap 4 0r 5 stalks in prosciutto or Benton's paper thin sliced country ham and secure with a toothpick. Egg at 350 to 375 and flip a few times til ready.

tn slagamater:[p]No need to blanch. Good asparagus should be tender without cooking. If the lower stalk is woody, cut it off or use a peeler to remove the tough exterior of the lower stalk.[p]I like that recipe, it is on the list to try . . .

Try substituting sesame oil for your olive oil and toss on some toasted sesame seeds while cooking.
