SIAP, but I learned yesterday that the Whole Foods Market pizza counter sells fresh pizza dough balls ($2.79 per ball). I bought a couple and made pizza last night. I loved the crust.

Great looking pizza, id love a slice!

Thanks, gonna give it a try. Gotta be better than that rubbery stuff at Publiks!
-
Let the Publix dough sit out for 3-4 hours and it is easy to work with...not 45 minutes like the package says... :pinch:

Thank you!

This crust was great. Crispy on the outside and soft and chewy in. I hit it with some garlic-infused olive oil before I put on the toppers.

That's good to know. I've been jonsing to make pizza lately but have been lacking the time to plan the 2 days ahead needed to make a good dough from scratch (for me at least).
Thanks for the tip. -
Do you know if Whole foods sell turbinado sugar?
-
Looks good.
Alot of small pizzaria's will sell dough also, usually a good bit cheaper than that. Some may look at you like you are nuts, but others are happy to do it. I've been getting 2 for $3 as of late, and the quality is excellent.
Trader Joe's also has fresh dough for sale, $1.09 I think, but it isnt quite as good. -
Yes, I believe they do sell turbinado sugar.

Kim is right! Publix dough is not bad if you let it sit out for at least two hours, more if you have time. I think it was one of the ladies in the Publix bakery that turned me on to that trick

I was in KC last Nov and made a special effort to go to WFM!
Picked up a couple of pizza doughs and a few other goodies.
I really noticed the air bubbles popped while I worked the dough into shape!aka marysvilleksegghead
