Big Debate

The big debate at my place was choosing the winner between tonights chipotle chicken (thanks to Lawn Ranger for posting earlier this week) and garlic pork sausage. [p]38b66b78.jpg[p]The chicken made a strong statement with that great marinade and a gentle grape & apple smoke. The sausage, simmered in beer before grilling, really captured my attention.[p]The wife has picked a clear winner, I need a couple more chances in the next month to decide.
Happy Trails

    thirdeye,
we had a couple recipe choices last night too. [p] one of them was a pretty simple home-spun recipe with only a few flavors, a very old recipe, claimed to be truly american. vey barbecu-ish.[p]the other was more complex in terms of nuance, and it's claimed that this recipe is more rich, worldy, complex. like lobster tails in tarragon butter.[p]the first was maybe a little spicy, the other subtle.[p]after comparing, we both stayed with the same one we'd thought we were gonna pick in the first place.[p]since everyone already has equal access to the two recipes, there's no need for me to share them. plus, i prefer to keep something so personal as my tastes to myself. heh heh heh[p]>wink wink<[p]
