It worked! I was able to balance 5 4.5lb chickens on 5 beer cans inside my large egg. The chickens soaked in brine for about 18 hours and then marinated in a mixture of lemon, rosemary, garlic, and olive oil for another 6 hours before going on the egg. I don't yet have a place setter so I used a 14" cast iron pizza pan. It worked fine. The chickens took a little over 3 hours at about 275. They tasted fabulous![p]
