Is there anything wrong with doing something simple, such as three spatchocked chickens and some hamburgers? The kids (10, 8, 5, and 2) all voted that they wanted to cook those two items. Appreciate the help for the newbie.[p]John

JM3,
For the most part, I think you cook what you want to cook and have a dang good time doing it. :-)

The Naked Whiz -
JM3,
I agree with the Whiz. Last year my wife and I did not cook because we thought it all had to be fancy-dancy things and we were not ready for that. It was quite the opposite, there was everything from really fancy to really simple. I think it shows the versitility of the egg beautifully when you can have that kind of range in cooking and taste the outcome. Cook on I say!![p]-Kevin

JM3,
Squeeze and Whiz are on the money. The more complicated your dish, the less time you have to walk around trying other folks specialties.[p]Simple is good![p]Hope to see you there.

JM3,
I have cooked at five of the Eggtoberfest and you can cook what ever you like...That's what makes it so much fun and by the way I only live a few miles from you....I live in Martinez.

Nature Boy,
Have you ever tired Chef Rd's recipe on just drumsticks or thighs. Or even chicken strips? [p]CWM
