Has anyone tried them? I picked up some nice baby leeks at the farmer's market this week. Trying to find a good recipe that would feature the leeks. Wondering how they might taste grilled w/a little evoo.

Wash the heck out of them and I would think grill them up like romaine. Seseme oil, balsamic and s/p. top with grated cheese. Let me know how you do them Teresa.

  • I grilled some leeks for the 4th. I cut them in 1/2 and soaked them in a bowl of water. There is alot of dirt inside, so soak them really well. Then, brush with EVOO, S & P, and grill them like you would an onion. I don't know how small yours are, but keep an eye on them.
You want them to carmelize and soften up. I put them in a grilled romaine salad, and dressed them with balsamic vinegrette, sprinkled with feta cheese on top.

Thanks Faith, those look great. They are taking a bath in the sink as we speak.
