Spent a very nice 4th at a good friend’s house, was given the nod to bring the veggies, had no intention of making a post out of this but when I looked at the finished plate I had to get the camera out. In the center of the plate is a pile of Littlelip’s cheddar mozzarella & garlic abts, we did them on the large, then kept the egg pretty hot (damper door open ½ way & a full load of lump), & just rotated one veggie after another in & out of an olive oil bath, salted/peppered, then & onto raised grid till they looked nice, then onto a cooling rack to calm down before going to the plate (avoids that nasty steaming liquid action you get when you put hot veggies on a plate & the resultant puddle). We have zucchini, squash, eggplant, red and yellow bell peppers, asparagus, sweet potatoes & portobellos, delicious:

I was thinking as I looked at this plate how fortunate I am to live in this country
