Hey everyone, How are you all? Just thought I'd share my first bread cook and steak cook with you. I used Peter Reinhart's Bread Bakers Apprentice French bread recipe and I used the hot tub (in my sink) method for my thin Australian style steaks! lol Next time im getting at least 1 1/2". My 3/4" Steaks cooked within 2 mins medium/rare. The bread is delicious, and the steaks were as good as they could of been (not very good quality)By the way I love my egg, and girlfriend thinks im weird for taking pictures, but shes not complaining about the food! :side:

Bread looks outstanding!
I also like Reinhart's book, The Bread Baker's Apprentice, and use it often for reference.
Winter time is a great time for bread baking.
Thanks for posting! -
Nicely done. I've yet to do baguettes on the EGG but I made some over the 4th cause I just love 'em. I'll post pics in a separate post.

Very nice. I've yet to do bread. As far as your girlfriend thinking you are weird, give her a little time, pretty soon she will be beating you to the camera. :woohoo:Dave San Jose, CA The Duke of Loney

Thanks guys!
@Clay Q baking bread in winter is great!
@kricks definitely give baguettes a go on the egg, gives an extra nice flavor, and the crumb was soft and delicious!
@thechief96 I look forward to that day (except i prefer to use my camera!) -
ozegg, the bread looks delectable. I'm sure your next steaks will be thicker and thus better.
