Those look great. Have some in the fridge now for tomorrow. Have a great holiday!
  • Mightydine Randy - Had the same here BBs, fresh corn, plus some tostones.

When I picked up the corn today at the grocery store people were picking up the cobs, pulling pack the shucks and looking for something. No one rejected anything but they all looked. What were they looking for?

Look'en good Randy. Miss baby backs. My butcher use to keep them but didn't move fast enough so he quit and only has ST. Lou's. Only way now is by the case and I don't need that many. Local grocery stores have them every once in a while but they are those vacum pac jobs with sulution in them.

Frank, What I look for when shucking before buying is bugs and size of kernel and if it is peaches and cream or yellow and also to see if the ear is fully matures ie all the kernels have grown. I was raised a big sweet corn on the cob eater. Everyone that would do as you said look before buying. Sometimes I just once or twice and grab a dozen or so. Tim
