I am getting ready to cook my first Pork Butt on my Large Egg. One is almost 11 pounds and the other is just under 19 pounds. How long am I looking at cooking these damn things?

Until they are 190+ in the center. Probably 22 hours maybe more.

A 19 LB butt is that in a cryovac package? If so it's probably two 9.5 LBers a 19 LB butt came of one seriously large porker.

Sorry I meant the second package was just under 19 pounds. It has two butts in the second package. LOL yeah that would be a Hogzilla. I was going to try and cook all three. Just wondering how long I am looking at. Not wanting to have to add more lump. Haven't done this long of a cook yet. Just cooked ribs and whole chickens.

Fill that large up and look forward to a 22 hour cook at 250 dome. I loaded my XL this morning 9:30AM with Frontier lump, followed by 32 LBS of butt "4 X 8 LB". The Guru is driving and holding steady at 250 dome, meat is 165 internal. Probably gonna finish at 2:30 or 3:00AM. Then straight into the fridge. Gonna reheat on Sunday morning and then pull. After the butts come off 12 slabs of loinback ribs go on. Gonna cook them at 275 looking for those to finish around noon. Into the fridge, then a quick 18 holes, and it's off to my BILs' house. Gonna reheat on his gasser.

    Semper Fi.

I might just have to only smoke the one package which had the two Butts in it and was almost 19 pounds. This is my first cook with Butts so I don't want to screw it up....

Very hard to screw up butts. Friends cook them at 350 dome and they are good too.
