I'd bet that the fishing in the Rio Catarina was off just a bit today. Stay safe, My Friend.

Thank you Ron

We are doing our best Teresa, the rain's still very strong......just saw on the news 28" of rain have fallen already would you believe????
-
Terry I'll try & straighten it since they were planted on my fathers 80th. many years ago......
-
TKS Michelle its 28"now where I live ..south of Monterrey...we're fine but this monster's still hiting hard.....
-
That's normally a dry river   worst part is, the level is still rising...worst flood ever in Monterrey......I'm south of Monterrey under normal conditions that means nice & cool weather but now it's worse since the Hurricane passed just south of us.....really worried about the gust winds...& rain...already 28" at the moment
-
Hey Pat......a while ago I thought the worst was over...not so sure now.......at night the gust winds & the water roaring noices are scary.....but YEAP we're pretty full with supplies.....we were having a party here tomorrow...had to cancel it so we're left over with the nice food ..so we're pretty well fed....
-
Beli, Glad you guys are OK and at least the power is back on. I hope you aren't stranded for too long....
-
 could catch a few cars Mike, saw quite a few on the news...luckily not so many casualties......but it is still plunging terrible!!
-
Trying to answer the posts...don't know how long the electricity will hold in this deluge........TKS Clark

good god...

Beli - Saying my prayers all those beautiful mountains around you 'hold'. You seem to have lots of vegetation. Is there still a concern for mudslides? :pinch: Hope the rain stops soon. Radar looks to be ligtening up. Just sit tight, stay safe, and enjoy your beautiful family.
-
Beli, we had this kind of devastation in 1983, 18" of rain a day for 3 days in a row. Tucson became an island that no one could traverse because the bridges were out on either side of town. -RP
-
Glad to hear it ! Keep safe!
Michael -
I'm glad to hear you are safe, and wondered why I hadn't seen what you cooked for dinner tonight. Now I know the answer to that question. Stay safe (and I look forward to seeing your next delicacy cooked on the Egg).

Ay caramba! Tenga cuidado de mi amigo y cuidar de sus bellas damas
-
LAWDAMERCEY!!!I HOPE YA'LL are high on the hill!
-
I hope you and your family are safe and sound
Ross -
Wow! Not sure how smart some of those people are. I know you are up high but that also means more direct wind. What kind of damage you get? Glad you and yours are all ok at least!
-
Incredible for Tucson Randy, today the rain has stopped if only for a while there is a feeling of a tense calm , luckily the contention walls at home resisted, they looked like waterfalls yesterday.
-
TKS Frank,we are all fine. Was worried about you hope you didn't get much of this monster
-
All fine tks my friend, yes we're high on the hill thank God, but the water roaring down hill is scary....rained stopped at last if only for a while....
-
Ross we are just fine & safe TKS, a nightmare of an experience though....

Deane, a few tiles from the roof came off, got some water in the third floor & the water coming from under the aluminum windows looked like fountains at some point from the rain being pushed inside by the strong wind, one of the palapas outside shifted a bit, a few trees affected. Downhill here is another story, access roads have gone & water rushing down from the sierra with rivers & streams overflowing everywhere....Monterrey I'm sure you've heard is its worst natural disaster, hope we learn something positive if any, this time.
-
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..that's the best medicine now, Hope I can start cooking soon.......
-
All is well here now Michelle, the mountains around this area are pretty much tough rock so they've held pretty well, & yes the vegetation's helped quite a lot. In monterrey there is another story, unfortunately some people lost their lives in mud slides. We're fine but today I still don't dare go down outside & look....TKS so much for caring
-
Gary.....I must tell you a good joke about drinking water sometime....
-
I hope all is well with you there. I have been thinking about you and Frank in Houma.
