Today I received my first shippment of Dizzy Pig BBQ Rubs. This included the Swamp Venom, Cow Lick Steak, Raging River, Jamaican Firewalk, and Dizzy Dust. Now comes the dillema. What to make for dinner tomorrow night. Want to use one of the rubs, maybe two. Any suggestions?

Zinger,[p]I wish some others had responded, but I can honestly say that the Raging River Rub goes with just about anything. I just ordered a second helping the other day. Hard to get good and sober answers from some of the forum on a Friday night, including myself.[p]Luder

    Zinger,
Just got my first batch of Dizzy Pig a few weeks ago, and they all work as advertised, much better than I was able and probably ever will be able to do with making up my own rubs. Highlights so far: Cowlick mixed a little in and a little on buffalo burgers, Tsunami Spin on spatchcocked chicken, and Raging River on roasted potatoes and grilled Alaskan Salmon. Got a picnic shoulder with a layer of Dizzy Dust going overnight right now, and can't wait to try it tomorrow evening. From what I have found, it's all good, pick your favorite cook and whichever of the rubs sounds good and Egg it!

Basscat,[p]Just did some 1.75 inch thick ribeyes at 650 for 4,4, then 4 closed. Med-med rare and perfect.[p]Oh,and my 8lb butt went on at 8:30 last night, I build the fire right for a change, and it didn't go out and the meat is currently plateauing at 161. [p]All hail the egg.
