Hello to all,

has anybody tried an indirect low and slow cook -PP i.e. - in the Mini ?
I suppose a part of a butt (3-4 pounds) must fit in the mini.
Has anybody the Mini Woo or the Mini Woo 10 inch grid with stone ?
Where do I get the 10 inch grid ?

Thanks

Simon

We did one at work. Used a mini pizza screen covered in foil then the grill on top of that. It went for the whole shift and ws fall apart. Think it was a 5 pounder.

Sure. My mini smoked this butt to pulled pork perfection. Took 10 hours with one load of lump. I have a mini plate setter for indirect cooks. :woohoo:

The mini Woo is a great indirect setup for low-n-slow smokin and roasting. Makes the mini as versatile as the large for different types of cooks.

I made it. Cut down a BGE pizza stone.
I don't have the Mini Woo, would have bought one if I had not already created my own indirect setup at a time before the mini woo was invented. Tom has some great products and I love his spider setup with a wok.

Thanks for your kind words! Workin on a new design with wheels for the small egg and I hope to have it built in time for the Illinois Eggfest. It's gonna have an oval shape top with concentric rings. Thinking quarter sawn white oak and possible black walnut accents with ipe keys for the joinery in an Arts and Crafts style. :woohoo:

Rock On! We will be looking for it. Working on a 3-legged design for my medium. Ash & mahogany.

Cool! Post a pic when your done. Mahogany is naturally rot resistant and beautiful to work with. White ash is a great contrasting wood and machines well. Have fun!
