Cutlet's brisket thread got me wanting to do a brisket this holiday weekend. I usually get a flat from Sam's, but I figured what the heck...

I just ordered a 14lb wagyu from Snake River Farms.

Have any of you used these folks before? I'm hoping I made a good move, as impulsive as it was...

I haven't personally ordered anything from snake river, but have heard lots of positives concerning quality of meat as well as customer service from a couple friends who have. Make sure to let us know about your experience and the cook.

Don I had ben looking at buying a NY strip loin from them but was worried about the $$$ without ever having ordered from them before. My brithday was in May and my father-in-law shows up with a package for me. I open it and inside are tri tip from snake river farms. The tri tip was very nicely marbled. Of course I egged it that day. It was one of the nicest pieces of beef I have seen in a while. It was tender, had good beef flavor and a great buttery texture. I will be ordering that whole strip loin as soon as I clear some space in the freezer. Good luck with your brisket.

I haven't ordered from them directly, but have had their steaks in restaurants. Very nice product. I'm sure it will be awesome on the egg.
