OK, I'm driving myself nuts reading every post etc. I've been smoking on a traditional off-set smoker for years. Just got a BGE (Lg) from friends who didn't want it anymore (nuts
). Here we go:[p]1. How long for Boston Butt.
2. Thoughts on rub, etc. I generally use yellow mustard and Wild Willy's #1 (from "Smoke & Spice")
3. Anyone every soak or cure in Coke or Dr. Pepper?
4. Mark Backer sent me some great links on starting the fire. I'm used to using wood chunks. Can I do this in the BGE or just wet wood chips.
5. If so, where do you put the wood (either chips or chunks) if you're building a fire that (hopefully) will go over nite.[p]Sorry there's so much here. I'm having 30 people over on Sunday and I don't want to mess it up.[p]Thanks!!!

msbrennan,
dry chips are fine, and i usually put a handful in each layer as i build the fire...[p]that way, if the fire roams around on you, it's still sure to encounter chips somewhere.[p]there'll be a lot of lump and chips left in the morning, likely. best to spread it around[p]

msbrennan,[p]Hey, no problem here. Just wanted to make you aware of some potentially useful info that you might be missing. [p]If you're cooking for 30, you definitely want to check the recipes at the Whiz's site. Good, concise recipes and other information that will make life a lot easier for you until you get your own "sea legs" with your Egg. [p]Bob

Steve-B,[p]I hear ya. I couldn't believe it. Offered to pay, they just said they don't use it and if I could take it away that would be payment enough. They don't know what they're missing!!!!
