Smokin' Green Eggs and Ham

Has anyone ever tried locust wood. A friend had that last storm down a locust...think It would work?

I've not heard of that wood around here. That's not to say it hasn't been used. I always think about toxins when I hear of a new wood. I'd try to be sure it does not emit any. Let me know what you find out.
