broken spring

i had a spring on one of my large eggs brake..had the egg for 2.5 years..would this be coverd under warranty?talked to the store i bought it from and they were going to check with bge..if they could get a new spring or what.. if they get me a new spring how hard is it to put that spring back on? i don't think i'm that strong. or will i get a new ring for my egg under warranty...

    bge mailed me some no charge, beware there were a few sizes over the years. if you have some one hold the dome open its real easy to put on, pliers or even a screwdriver.

    but be careful when gripping the spring and pulling. I rushed my next door neighbor to the hospital when the pointed nosed pliers he was using to grip a spring came loose and he punctured his eyelid - just lucky he wasn't blinded!

    yeah, always wear glasses when working with springs. they do go on and off easy with the dome open, i chucked the clips, easier to take the springs off when disassembling for me

    i believe all the springs are the same the last couple years, this was my problem with my older band, all these springs were for different versions of the large band, different sizes and hook positions. eventually i even wore out the hinge assembly from peeking, dont peek :laugh:
