First Egg - First Table - First Post

Well, I finally convinced my wife that we needed an Egg. She told me the deal, was that I had to make a nice cabinet for it to sit in (aka "a Nest"). After a little design work and a lot of cruising through this forum, I came up with the following table.

It's made of clear cypress stained green with cherry tinted inset panels of red cedar. The top is tumbled granite mosaic tiles with green glass inserts (even my wife caught the theme here).

They delivered my Egg yesterday while I was at work and it drove me nuts waiting to get home.

This is my first post, so I hope I get the photos loaded right.















Thanks for all the ideas. Now it's time to get cookin'.

Wow, what an impressive table! When my wife sees this she'll insist I get rid of my "nest" and have something like what you made built. Excellent work, thanks for sharing the photos.
