Gary,
Was it on the islands or the Leslie spit?

Wow, what a beautiful back drop and a gorgeous day! Can't wait to see more after your nap.
-
That looks like a heck of a venue for a fest. Weather didn't hurt either, eh?
-
Great pics, gary. Especially like the last one !
-
Neither Steve, it was at Polson Pier (formerly The Docks Entertainment Complex), at the bottom of Polson Street, off Cherry Street. Michael was there too. More later.

Great city! What a view! Looks like fun, but a difficult commute from Texas. (A country just south of Oklahoma).

And you didn't attend because? -RP

An absolutely gorgeous day for an Eggfest in the Big Smoke! I got so much sun my trucker's tan is now officially ready for the season.
For the maiden voyage, they did a fine job. Probably about 200 people.
Sadly, there weren't many active forum members in attendance. There were however lots of new eggers genuinely eager to learn about the egg, the tips and tricks of cooking on the egg, best charcoal, best wood for smoking, and they all had a love for the taste of great food. At the end of the day, that's what it's all about.
The cooks did a fine job preparing a wide variety of cooks; pulled pork, brisket, pork shoulder, pork belly, ribs, many different kinds of wings, various kinds of chicken breast, stuffed mushrooms, ABT's, bacon wrapped dates, pizza, baked apple and ruhbarb, corn on the cob, sliced potato sandwich with bacon and cheese, burgers and dogs. I know I left a bunch out - I spent about 4 hours at the fest and I was completely stuffed.
I hope they do it again next year and that our brothers and sisters south of the border will be able to attend the fest and our fine city!

Ya Steve....
Where was my DD?
Ha! Ha!
Sorry we missed you today - you would have been completely in your element.
Lots of eager newbies looking for direction.

A few more pics from Toronto Eggfest.
I better get them on now - once Gary wakes up from his nap, his pics will blow mine away.

If you like Salmon and trout, you'll be in your element.
I've seen some pics from the salmon derby with 30-45 lb fish.

Those 2 pictures are priceless. The first still qualifies for on topic. There is a bit of an egg in there...

Dang, I wanna be there. Molly
