If anyone saw Good Eats last night......for the record, I won't be using flower pots to cook my pork butts.

I didn't see it last night, but I assume it was a re-run as the flower pot cooker has been around for a while. I have one - and for the record, it works. Quite well actually. Not much for searing though. :)

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

After spending the bucks for my BGE, I have no interest in using flower pots as grills or smokers.

I have seen some grills used as flower pots, and the result was as one might immagine.

No argument from me. I put the flower pot together long before I bought an egg. Cooked butt, chicken, turkey, ribs for several years. Used it a few weeks ago just for grins. Hot plate must be getting old as I couldn't get the temp above 210° dome. Cook took forever and I wound up having to slice the butt. It is now, well, a flower pot. :)

    LOL, bout time Michael. ;)

Someone I know on a cooking forum had an Egg, but never really got the hang of it. A tree branch fell and cracked the dome, so now she is using the base as a flower pot...How Ironic.
