Wonderful eggheads!!

I was invited to Serial Grillers house yesterday. Jon and Kathy are the best!! They live in Larkspur Colorado. About half way between Colorado Springs and Denver. Just beautiful there. We took a really nice hike in the morning. I had a shmeer on my camera lens so I'll show you only one pic of the hike. It's only half schmeered up.



Saw some camels. Who'd a thunk there were camels in Larkspur.



Yard pics. It's so peaceful there. The birds were terrific to watch.











Got back the house and Jon cooked all afternoon and early evening. Kathy was the sous chef. We had some nice grilled veggies, smoked salmon with crackers, that was killer. Jon roasted a butternut squash and we had butternut squash enchaladas, THE chicken, and wonderful black beans. Kathy spent alot of time getting them perfect!!







Also for dessert he made a rhubarb/strawberry crisp. It was so delishous!! Rhubarb from the garden.



I really needed this. Everything was top notch!! Great friends, nature, lot's of wonderful food and spirits!! Doesn't get any better than that!!
