    Mark Backer,
Looks Good! I'm just on my way up to work on dinner.... Porterhouse here...But the Tuna looks great.[p]You have really taken a hankerin' to this BGE. Lots to learn, but it gets easier, and things come out more consistent. Keep up the good work, we like the pictures and the dialogue.[p]Mike in MN

Mike in MN,[p]Thanks for the kind words, Mike. Every time I make something on it, I learn something else. The good part is that the wife and my 2 yr old urchin like it too, so mom likes to think of new things for me to try on it.[p]Like it said in that Ft. Worth newspaper article, some people play golf, some bike or run, but I like to cook on my Egg.

    Mark Backer,
Touche'!![p]Cooking is a good thing. It's also a good thing if mom is thinking of new things to try. ;> Cooperation goes a long ways...if you know what I mean![p]I recall one of my early egg experiences...and she said "It tastes like lighter fluid." (it was chicken, and it was smokey tasting to her) That'll make you feel good about spending 3 hours in the kitchen and on the deck cooking. Oh well. I thought the chicken was wonderful. So, now I limit the amount of smoke that I add...except for pulled pork. She likes PP better when I smoke the daylights out of it in the beginning....[p]Go figure..[p]Mike in MN

Mike in MN,[p]Same here when it comes to smoke. She was so used to gas grilling's no flavor that she at first thought the coal only was a little strong. I try to use cherry or pecan in small doses on most stuff, but I smoke it plenty when doing the pulled pork, and she loves it.[p]It is great to get a little support from the spouse-folk when it comes to matters of the egg...
  • Mark Backer,[p]Anyone have the recipe??
    Thanks!

VAEgger,[p]Actually, it's the oriental Tuna Steak recipe from here at the big green egg website. The only thing we did is leave out the salt and add a 1/2 cup of plum sauce to the recipe.[p]Let me know what you tink. We loved it!!

Mark Backer,[p]It's one of our favorite ways to do tuna. If you think it's worthy of including on the main recipe site, make sure to let the recipe webmaster know (there's a link at the top of the submitted recipes section).[p]Happy Weekend to you!
