center cut pork chops
bean town griller
Posts: 37
Just picked up a bunch of center cut pork chops with the bone. They are about 1 1/2 inches thick. Want to do tonight on the BGE. Anyone have any recommendations for how to prepare?[p]Butcher said 350 degrees for 5 minutes a side. Not sure on temps/times? Thought I might put some dizzy rub, maybe Tsunami Spin. But please offer suggestions. Would like to try something new![p]
Thanks,
Josh
Thanks,
Josh

Bean town griller, 700 on the sear about 3 min per side, take off grill and rest for 20 min and get grill temp down to 400 grill another 4 min or so to internal of 145. 145 seems to be middle of road on pork for most now which is quite a bit different from the old 160 standard. spices is a matter of taste and I been using a combo of swamp venom and cavenders, coat meat with o. oil first.
