So the weather here in the Boston area is finally warming up, and I got a chance to get out in the garden today...

Strawberries are coming in nicely. I got a small bowl on Tuesday, a soup bowl yesterday, and this huge mixing bowl today. I pick em a bit underripe to keep the bugs and birds from eating them all, and let them ripen a bit more in the bowl. Mmm... berries.

Unfortunately, the strawberries were taking over my garden, and I needed to move some of them to plant some other things. I picked up some cheap strawberry pots and made up some gifts for the in-laws. Yes, I need to mow the lawn.

With some space cleared, I managed to get 16 tomato and tomatillo plants out of my sunroom and into the ground. Next week I'll finish the tomatoes, and get the eggplants, peppers, cucumbers, and squash out.

Enough vegetables for now. Time to find some meat ...

Our close friends have a strawberry patch and two years ago they asked us to pick all the ripe strawberries while they were on vacation. Well it was all we could do to keep up. So, we would pick them all and clean them and freeze them in a tray then bag them up in freezer bags the whole time they were gone. Needless to say we are still getting strawberries out of the freezer. Tim ;)
