I run contrary to some here but I prefer the 5" stems and the range of 200 to 1,000°. I use a wooden toy wheel to take up 1/2" of that and find no problem with the other 1/2" length which is longer than the OME thermometer.

I didn't have a wooden toy wheel so I used a cut off wine cork.

i run the 2.5 inch stem length, if you read the naked whiz review the gage reads low in a large egg. it reads low by a little more than 10 percent. 10 percent is easy math

Boy the dial on those thermometers are sure easy to read!
You only have to sideways glance at it, and you can see what it says! (I want one!)
Anybody want to buy my ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT thermometer?
